THE ORGANIC SOLUTION FOR A HEALTHIER PLANET

Island Processing Company Rendering Plant

The Island Processing Company Rendering Plant, located north of Duncan, British Columbia, was experiencing major difficulties with plant operations due to an enormous grease build up in its sump and sludge within its lagoons -- particularly the largest of the existing three lagoons. Chemical scrubbers normally used in this type of operation were causing even more difficulties because beneficial bacteria were being killed and neighboring farmers' fields were being affected. Desperate for an alternative method to address these problems, plant operations officials decided to give the cultures a try to "clean up the mess."
Within two months of inoculation with the cultures, the plant's grease and sludge problems vanished, much to the amazement of the Plant Manager and visiting Staff members from Vancouver, B.C., who had climbed onto a catwalk at the plant to view and evaluate the results first hand.
"Wow! Is this how it's supposed to look? What an improvement!" was a comment from a visiting Staff member. Everyone was quite amazed and pleased with the pristine results accomplished by the cultures.
The plant had been threatened with closure by Environment Canada, the equivalent of the EPA in the United States. After treatment with AgriCultures, the plant operation met Canadian Federal standards for permitting.
