THE ORGANIC SOLUTION FOR A HEALTHIER PLANET

Wells Fargo Bank Building
San Francisco, California

AgriCultures remediated contamination from
a major fuel spill in the footings and foundation area.

Project:
This project involved the closing and bioremediation of three underground fuel tanks, located at the Wells Fargo Bank Facility, 4200 Montgomery Street, San Francisco, California. Two of the tanks contained fuel oil used by the boilers and the third contained diesel fuel that was used by the generator. All three tanks were housed in concrete vaults 16 to 19 feet below street level. Tanks 1 and 3 had leaked, contaminating the gravel between two concrete slabs including the soils below the structural slab. The first inoculation took place on March 11th.

Results:
The inoculations of the pollution plume with AgriCultures reduced the contamination level of 31,000 ppm TPH-D to below the acceptable level of <100 ppm.
