AQUACULTURE
A project using AgriCultures
microbes was undertaken on Salvatorie
Fish Farm, a very large facility located in Canby, California. The
fish had been dying off at a staggering rate, with only a couple of
dozen fish surviving out of 4,500. The owner believed that the cause
of the disease was a condition known as aeromonas salmonicida. In effect,
the disease caused degeneration of the fish's organs. The large rearing ponds that
contained the diseased fish were inoculated with the cultures. Within
a very short time, the fish stopped dying. The ponds were inoculated
with the cultures through a drip application over a year’s time to completely
restore the site. The fish farm owner, Mr. Sal Pantano, subsequently
stated, “If
it weren’t for these cultures, I would have had to abandon the site.”

RESTAURANT
GREASE TRAPS
PAN EARTH DESIGNS of Yelm, Washington,
has been using AgriCultures for many years in
a myriad of applications for clientele. One customer in Aspen, Colorado,
owner of several restaurants, applied the cultures to kitchen grease
traps with outstanding results, unclogging and eliminating all the accumulated
grease build-up typical of commercial kitchens.
RENDERING
PLANT LAGOONS & SUMP
AgriCultures
were applied to the main sump at the Island
Processing Company in Duncan, British Columbia, Canada. The top
of the sump was clogged with eighteen inches of thick, heavy, hardened
grease. The cultures quickly went to work and completely eliminated
the heavy hardened mass within a week.
Within this overall bio-remediation project,
AgriCultures were also added to the company’s
lagoons. The company had been threatened with closure by Environment
Canada (equivalent of EPA in the U.S.), because of their difficulty in
complying with Federal regulations for pollution and operating
standards. Further, the ' fields of a neighboring
farm were being adversely affected. From the time of initial inoculation with
AgriCultures,
the lagoons were restored to a pristine state within two months,
much to the surprise of company officials who made a special trip from
Vancouver to witness the results.

REMOVING
OIL SPOTS FROM DRIVEWAYS
Those pesky, ugly oil spots on concrete
driveways can be removed ecologically by spraying them “on the spot” with
AgriCultures in a full strength solution. Within
a few days, those oil spots will disappear. Unfortunately, the cultures
cannot be used on asphalt driveways because they will eat away at tars
and oils in the asphalt mix.
